Registration Information
Registration process after your first term - "pre-registration"
During each quarter there is a designated time period for ″pre-registration″. All continuing graduate students need to register during this time period or be charged a late registration fee. You will be required to meet with the Associate Director to discuss the courses you will enroll in and will complete a Course Registration Form. Notices will be sent to you via e-mail reminding you of the dates of pre-registration (which can also be found on the Academic Calendar). Following the selection of your mentor(s) and the completion of all 11 required units of coursework, you will register for TGS 588 Resident Master's Study if additional time is necessary in order to complete your thesis.Registration Requirements
Courses usually carry one unit of credit except for the seminar series (CBB 460) and summer internship (CBB 560) which carry 0 units. Full-time registration consists of either three (3) or four (4) units per quarter. During their first quarter enrolled in the CBB program, full-time students will register for 3-4 classes; and unless the student has extensive research experience, it is highly recommended that students not enroll in CBB 499 during their first term. Beginning in the winter (or during the student’s second quarter), students will register for one unit of CBB 499 (Projects) for each of 3 quarters. All international students and students receiving financial aid of any kind from any source must register as full-time students. A full-time student is one registered for 3-4 units of credit, TGS 588 or TGS 512.Online Registration
