CBB Forms & Documents for Current Students
Course Registration Form
Students are expected to be advised by the Associate Director of the CBB Program as to which courses to register for each term of enrollment. Agreed upon courses
are listed on this form, along with any additional recommendations, requirements, or relevant details. The form is then signed by both the Advisor and student and kept in the student's file.
Laboratory Research Agreement
CBB students that are preparing to begin their research projects are expected to contact faculty with research projects of interest to the student. The CBB Program Office compiles information about available research projects for students. However, the Program will consider a student doing research with a Northwestern University faculty member that is not yet part of the Program. The Laboratory Research Agreement must be signed by both the research advisor and student, include a tentative title for the student's research project with a short summary, and be submitted to the CBB Program office on the last day of finals week the term before research is to begin.
Progress Worksheet
CBB students may be interested in charting their academic progress through the program using this worksheet. A worksheet will be kept up to date in the student's file.
Recommendation for MS Examination Committee
The CBB Program Office requires that this document be submitted a minimum of three weeks prior to the scheduled MS thesis presentation. It is recommended that the student determine who will be on this committee after the first or second quarter of enrollment in CBB 499 Projects.
CBB Graduate Program Guide AY07-08
New students will receive a hard copy of this document during orientation. What is posted here is the latest version of the Program Guide. Students are bound by the version of the Guide that they receive during orientation, i.e. changes in requirements or policy in subsequent years does not affect continuing students. The Guide outlines all of the policies relevant to students in the CBB Master's program and is a valuable resource for faculty-related, University-related and course-related information.
Try viewing the Guide if you have specific questions that haven't already been answered by our website!
